My Crazy Life

Smiling uses fewer muscles in the face than frowning. Just thought I'd share that. Now on to more pressing matters. It's so easy to just go with the flow of the world around us. Why bother standing up for morals when it's seems society has cast them by the wayside? Why set standards for yourself when everyone is pressuring you to just give in? Why live openly for God knowing you will face judgment? Why?...because the Bible tells me so (come on...Sunday school flashback). Seriously though...because the Bible calls us to live by it. Not to follow the parts we like, modify those we are only partial to, and ignore (with a later prayer for forgiveness) the parts we don't want to 'interrupt' our way of life. We all need to make better choices when it comes to following God's word, but we also need help hearing his message clearly. Being a Christian in this world is like standing in the middle of a marching band at a High School football game…in Texas (we all know you Texans love your Highschool football games)!

I have found myself trapped amongst the noise more times than I'd like to admit. God has taken me on the rollercoaster of life for sure...and I was of course thick headed thinking 'I don't need that safety harness, this is a kids coaster'. Turns out I was in the wrong line and got on Hades (an actual kick booty coaster here in WI…and quite appropriately named given the current subject matter)! So needless to say I have been holding on for dear life. I at some point managed to click my harness into place and am still riding, but with a great sense of peace now.  I have learned how to escape the clutter and find a path to His light. I want to help you break free from the noise surrounding you…to snap your safety belt on tight before the ride starts!…or to help you click it into place even if that coaster is already full speed ahead.

Take a walk with me...daily if you'd like...and glimpse inside my world. Here's your spectator pass to my crazy life. Watch God moving me in directions I never saw coming, share in the blessings and struggles of being a mother and wife, journey with me through God's word, and explore the beautiful world our Lord has given us. Even more…join me and stand for Christ, to not be ashamed of being a Christian and truly living in His truth. As Dr. Seuss once said "Why fit in when you were born to stand out?"

Welcome to My Crazy Life
